Introduction

A family of octopuses is kidnapped and taken to a horrifying restaurant where there's only one thing on the menu: octopus hot dogs. Somehow, one special octopus gets the chance to escape this creepy hellscape and avenge his fallen brethren along the way.

Brainstorming the Idea

This fun idea basically started with a brainstorm exercise. There was no initial idea going into this project but a deadline. It strted with a random word generator, and fated with "Sausage" and "bear". From there, the rest was simply real-time improvision.

Level design and concepting

We wanted to create a unique platformer experience. Unlike traditional platformers where the ground is safe, here, the only secure spots are the walls and ceilings. The movement was designed to feel fluid, giving players the sensation of truly being an octopus navigating an unusual environment.

Each level starts with a design cocnepting, such as core loop, mechanism, and balance.
